About Us

Hello! Welcome to Feeding Giants!

We are Jake and Sandy, a husband and wife team that combine our love of woodworking with our expertise in education, child and family development, and parenting to create beautiful, research-based products to teach and inspire. We personally design and create every single product in our shop from start to finish. Feeding Giants is a family effort - our 6 children often help at every step of our design and manufacturing process, too!

In addition to our combined 20 years of professional teaching experience at every level (pre-school to college), our family has experienced many different phases over the years. We have been homeschool, public school, stay-at-home, work-from-home, going-to-school, and work-outside-the-home parents - we have done it all! We get it - parents just want to help their kids reach their potential. To that end, we use our combined education and teaching experience to create natural, durable, multi-functional toys that are both beautiful home decorations and developmentally sound learning tools. We believe that whatever season of life you are in, small adjustments in the products you use at home can effortlessly create a richer learning environment for your children. 

Sandy holds a B.S. degree in Elementary Education, with minors in Special Education and Family Science, as well as an M.S. in Child, Youth, and Family Studies. Jake holds a B.S. in Technology Education and has done additional graduate work in curriculum development.
